When:The Georgialina Border Bash will take place the weekend of August 6-8. We will be camping Friday and Saturday night. We understand that everyone may not be able stay the whole weekend. Please feel free to come and go at any time. The purpose of this Riverbassin Rodeo is to get members of this site together to enjoy some hot summer weather, good fishing, good times, and good food. So come on and join us and feel free to bring others that might enjoy the Georgialina Border Bash.
Where: On the banks of the scenic and beautiful Savannah River.
Georgialina Border Bash Waters:We will have access to a multitude of floats from the tail race below Thurmond Reservoir down to the shoals between Augusta and North Augusta. We will also have the opportunity to fish the Savannah river and Steven’s Creek at and above their confluence. The waters, scenery, and diversity are second to none here in the Savannah river valley.
Camping: We are currently working on several different options right now and will hopefully have the campsite secured in the very near future. At this time it appears we will be able to choose from several campgrounds that are located on Thurmond Reservoir (Clarke’s Hill Lake), and are a short drive from the river. This will also allow us to paddle the lake or swim since it will be very hot during this time of the year.
Cost: Will be determined as soon as the head count and campsites are finalized.
Supplies: There are lots of stores including a Walmart and an Academy sports within 20-25 of the campsites we may choose from.
What YOU Need to do: Please announce your plans to attend the Georgialina Border Bash http://riverbassin.com/forum/showthr…sign-Up-Thread. The sooner we get a final head count the sooner we can finalize reserving the campsites and determining the cost for everyone. Here at Riverbassin.com we strive to maintain a spotless image wherever we go, and to represent the fine folks here as well as our sport at the local, state, and national level. We will maintain this relationship during our Rodeo by following the rules and regulations at the facility we will be using.
