Had the pleasure of fishing with DMurf2005 a few days ago. The fishing was decent and we both managed to land a few fish, but halfway down the river my day took a turn for the worse. I had a headache for the most of the day, which then developed into serious flu like symptoms. I immediately became 100% depleted and could barely paddle, let alone stay conscious. I managed to make it home with DMURF towing me for about the last hour of the float. COMPLETELY miserable day, but thanks to DMURF for hanging in there with me and cutting his trip short, I made it home safe and sound. Thanks again Daniel, you are a great fishing buddy.
It is people like DMURF that we here at Riverbassin.com like to recognize for their unselfish actions and kindness. You reflect the true spirit of a “riverbasser” and we all celebrate this recognition with you! Congratulations!!You too can nominate a friend to become the Basser of the Month by using this form. If chosen as Basser of the Month they will receive a special parking space at the front of the store, I mean, site, for the remainder of the month. Catching big fish or large numbers of fish is not the criteria we base our decisions on either. The River Basser of the Month should share the same enthusiasm, passion, stewardship and kindness that we like to promote here on RiverBassin.com..

Sounds like he’s not only a good fisherman but a good Samaritan too. We need more fisherman like him on the river! Congrats Daniel.
Those are the kind of stories I like to hear on this site. It’s fisherman like Daniel that make me proud to say I am a part of the riverbassin community.
