Why I think they should be river basser of the month: Craig is a great guy to fish with and goes out of his way to make a fishing trip a great trip. Loads of fun to be around. He loves the outdoors and loves to kayak fish the river. He calls the Flint River home and loves to get out on the river to enjoy its beauty. Always full of enthusiasm, Craig makes a day spent on the river much more enjoyable. Congratulations, Craig!
You too can nominate a friend to become the Basser of the Month by using this form. If chosen as Basser of the Month they will receive a special parking space at the front of the store, I mean, site, for the remainder of the month. Catching big fish or large numbers of fish is not the criteria we base our decisions on either. The River Basser of the Month should share the same enthusiasm, passion, stewardship and kindness that we like to promote here on RiverBassin.com.

Congratulations to Tom “PawPaw” Reese, RiverBassin.com’s basser of the month for April 2009. Tom resides in Molena, GA, and his favorite river bass is Georgia’s famed shoal bass. PawPaw never stops learning and it is the main reason he was blessed to catch his personal best river largemouth recently – a 7lb 11oz hawg! He caught this fish by researching rivers within a reasonable distance from his house and found an overlooked spot. He invited RiverBassin.com member RatherBfishin’ to join him and sure enough Tom’s research paid off. There’s nothing like catching the big one from a spot that you’ve researched, found, explored and then executed, huh Tom?!? Continue Reading
