I have to say that since taking up river kayak fishing, I have made many new friends. Each of them are from all walks of life and with totally different backgrounds than myself. This marvelous outdoor sport has provided me with many opportunities to meet new people, good and wonderful people and has also helped me to share with others the sport I personally love so much. Please join me on the river with three of my newest friends while chasing the elusive shoal bass on one of Georgia’s most beautiful rivers.

…..Everyone is always anxious to participate in the annual spring bite. TyGa10 and I are no exception to this addiction. Robert had a few days off from work so he asked me to join him on the river. Had the river conditions improved since our last visit? We were both anxious to find out. Join us while we test the waters of the Flint River………

…. I had the opportunity this past weekend to fish once again with one of my best friends who we all know as “Fishing Fanatic”. Our venue was on the Flint River in quest of the beautiful shoal bass. Prior to shoving off on the river, Fishing Fanatic and I had a quick overview and demonstration on how to fish the spinnerbait with the water conditions the way they were that day. What happened????? What was learned???? Watch this video and find out !!

…..The winter all over the country this year has been long and hard but to top it all off, the torrential rains have continued to plague those of us that go by the name “Riverbassin™ aholics”. Many of us have oiled and greased our fishing reels till they shine like a mirror and organized or tackle boxes continuously with anticipation of hitting the river again. We couldn’t stand it any longer…………..This video tells the story of four such guys on the Flint River……

….. Are you struggling to catch fish on the “spinnerbait”? You’re probably not alone! I have been there and done that and can probably share stories with you that sound just like the ones you have. I’ve recently found one of the secrets of this bait and want to share it with you…….

…….. On Saturday, July 25th, I was fortunate to be able to participate in the 1st Annual SBA “Spot Fry” held at one of the SBA member’s property along side the Flint River just outside of Thomaston, Ga. The objective of the get together was to remove the allowable creel limit of “spotted bass” from the Flint River for each angler participating and following the days fishing, have a fish fry. The second objective of the gathering was to do a river cleanup, removing as much trash such as paper, bottles, cans, plastic bags and such to help return the river to its natural beauty. Fun was had by everyone that could attend and their reward was a dinner fit for a king! There was more than enough food for everyone! If you were unable to attend, you were missed and hopefully you can be at next years gathering. I put together a short video of the event. Hope you enjoy it.
